Saturday  :Delighted to take second in class today with a 52.20s  against a very hard charging Derek Rothnie who set a seriously good time of 51.83! Had a bit of a disaster on my last run after a very good start… still not 100% what caused it but the camera never lies!! Maybe 51’s in it tomorrow if the conditions are decent! Great event run extremely well by Monklands Sporting Car Club! Thanks to all the marshals and officials for running the event so well and giving up their time for us to play!

Sunday :2nd in class again today to Derek, great drive on the final run mate! I Struggled all day to get near my PB of 52.20 set yesterday. First run I was pretty much off after trying something a bit different with the rear suspension which was very quickly changed back to what I had used the day previous. 2nd practice was 52.65, 3rd practice 52.58, 1st timed was 52.57 and final timed was 52.37. Really annoyed that I couldn’t better my PB today despite feeling that I had a better run! 😩

Thanks to all involved in organising and running the event this weekend it really is appreciated! Now to dig out some tyres and brake pads and think about entering Kames! 🙈
